About David L. Cameron

David L. Cameron is a Certified Mediator and Arbitrator (UdeS/IMAQ) and a member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec with extensive professional experience in construction and insurance dispute resolution. Recently retired as a judge of the Court of Québec, where he served for 15 years in the Civil Division and the Administrative and Appeal Division, David has a rich background in civil, consumer, tax and commercial law, as well as extensive experience in deciding appeals from administrative tribunals.

Prior to his judicial appointment, he developed and maintained, over a 24-year tenure, a litigation and dispute-resolution practice, most notably in the construction and insurance fields, and in business law, including shareholder disputes.

His early graduation from the Royal Conservatory of Music ((U of T) A.R.C.T 1975) led him to the study of languages and linguistics (York University, 1979 B.A.) and then to the Law Faculty of McGill University (1983 B.C.L-LL.B.).

He communicates naturally in French and in English, presiding, participating and drafting in a bilingual context to ensure that all parties have the comfort of easy and effective communication. He is trained in both Quebec Civil Law and Common Law.

In January 2025, David joined the dynamic team at litige Forseti, a leading dispute resolution boutique.

My new colleagues at Foresti are stellar litigators as well as excellent mediators and arbitrators. I am thrilled to be joining in this new collaboration where I can continue to grow my ADR practice and add value, as well, for the benefit of Forseti’s clients as legal counsel.”

Process Design
